Blatant Psychosis

the new norm
is a scary schism
it comes in the form
of atheism

as though the universe
were a ghostless machine
and biology robotic
I’d say the mind of
a depressed insect
occasionally grows psychotic

they make God into hypothosis
as though it weren’t painfully obvious
the dead walk the earth
every city a necropolis

and with all
the falling firmament
we need hope
that at least it isn’t permanent
