In a format where songs turning out differently than how you expected is itself the expectation, I’m honestly surprised at how often the results still surprise me.

For as difficult and very nearly frustrating as this was, there was something fun about putting it all together.

The whole thing moves at a nice mellow shuffle, and the preponderance of 7th chords might give it a jazzy veneer, the whole thing still feels very post-rock to me.
