My very 1st secret mixter!

Thank-you Briareus for your beautiful samples. Briareus been a contributing member of ccMixter since 2006 (that’s before I even started producing), so me being the one to remix him fits perfectly with the Rooted Rising theme. I wanted to make something related to Halloween, so I built the song around Peter Yearsley’s public domain reading of Helen Selenas’s “ Lament of the Irish Immigrant” (uploaded by Briareus). All the instrumentals are from Briareus’ “ Baudelaire” (bass & pads) and “ Wheel in Wheel” (sax & guitar). I used a sampler-synth called Transformer (it’s free) to create variations on the guitar. Finally, I added these field-recordings from freesound.org to bring the scene to life.
