While victimizing a Scomber pell using J.Lang drums, ran across this coolio pell from Tereza Delzz and thought J.Lang’s drums would provide the requisite break beat. Made a minor adjust to J.Lang’s drum loop, added rhythmic soul and the song was done.
Used Izotope’s Master Assistant to configure Ozone 8 Advanced to master the mix for streaming. Afterwards visually reviewed the results using Izotope Tonal Balance Control (in the “bass heavy” tonal pocket) and Izotope Insight 2 (integrated 14 LUFS range on the money). We’ve been using these two Izotope visual tools a lot lately to visual describe what we are hearing. Izotope products are pricey so we shop the sales on product upgrades and bundles.
We like to master using mid-side Dynamics and post-EQ and sometimes with mid-side harmonic exciter. The Master Assistant default uses stereo but yuttah hey so do most of the global elites.
